How we look after your personal information
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Who we are
Neotronic provides computer support and IT services to home users and small businesses in Morley, Leeds and the surrounding area. Neotronic is run by [your full name], who is responsible for your personal information (the “data controller”).
If you have any questions about this notice or your information, email info@neotronic.co.uk.
What we collect and why
We only collect the information we need, and only use it for the reason you gave it to us.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message. We use these to reply to your enquiry.
- Callback request: your name, phone number and preferred time. We use these to call you back.
- Tech tips email: your email address. We use it only to send occasional tips, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Phone, email and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to tell us when you get in touch. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
- When we work on your computer: your name, address and contact details so we can collect, repair and return it, and invoice you. We may see files on your device while we work, but we only access what the job needs and never share them. [Confirm: any copies made during data recovery or transfer are deleted within __ days of returning your device.]
Our lawful basis
- Replying to enquiries and callback requests, and carrying out work you've asked for, is necessary to take steps before, or to perform, a contract with you.
- Keeping invoices and records is necessary to meet our legal obligations (for example, tax).
- Sending tech tips by email is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to any work: [__ months], then deleted.
- Customer records and invoices: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records.
- Tech tips email addresses: until you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information or share it for marketing. We only share it with the services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- our website host [name]
- our email provider [name]
- Formspree, which receives what you send through our contact and callback forms and emails it to us
Formspree is based in the United States, so information sent through our forms is processed outside the UK. Formspree protects it with the safeguards described in its privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't use analytics. Our fonts are stored on our own site, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts.
- Light/dark theme: if you switch theme, your choice is saved in your own browser so it's remembered next time. It never leaves your device.
- Map on the Areas page: this is provided by Google Maps. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
- Security news on the Tips page: this is fetched through the rss2json.com service, which receives your IP address when that page loads.
Links to other websites take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To do any of these, email info@neotronic.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. There's no charge.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this page if anything changes, and change the “last updated” date at the top.
